Position: Maintenance and Commissioning Department Manager

Salary: £32 Basic plus Bonus, Contributory Pension Scheme, 25 Days Holiday

We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance and Commissioning Department Manager to supervise a growing team of Field Service and Commissioning Engineers based in St Helens.

We are a market leader in supply of fire protection foam systems and maintenance for the fire industry. We operate in the industrial sector, our client base being sprinkler installers, power generation plants, the oil storage industry, aircraft hangers and waste recycling plants.

As a Service Manager your responsibilities will include: supervision of department administration staff, scheduling the workload of the Field Engineer to arranging visits, providing new quotations and negotiating contracts for site maintenance and supply of remedial services and consumer items such as foam concentrate. Liaising with our Project department you will arrange commissioning of newly installed foam systems to completion and customer satisfaction. Technical awareness within the water based (sprinkler) fire protection industry would be beneficial along with site work processing of risk assessments, method statements and permits to work and to be qualified in health and safety.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with the ability to demonstrate a track record of departmental management, have excellent commercial awareness, with an aptitude for business development and growth, IT literate with database experience and a confident and customer friendly approach. The successful candidate will ensure that our services reach the highest possible standard in terms of quality and cost effectiveness, and to manage improvement in all aspects of the role.
