About Us

Firemain was started by the current owner, Phil Bayliss, in 1990. Phil spotted an opportunity for a service oriented company providing the fire protection market with foam related system hardware.

Originally acting as the UK Distributor for the world renowned range from Svenska Skum (Swedish Foam), he has since diversified with other world class fire principles. Firemain are pleased to be associated with arguably the worlds' best known foam and foam equipment brand, Ansul - we are their UK Distributor.

Foam concentrates are sourced from Ansul, Williams Fire & Hazard Control and Total Walther, quality products to deal with all flammable liquid fire scenarios.

MSR of Germany offer the FireDos foam proportioning system and we are also their UK Distributor. The system is gaining many loyal followers, particularly in the petro-chem field where high demand foam solutions are the norm.

Williams Fire & Hazard Control are widely acknowledged as the worlds’ most experienced major flammable liquid firefighters. We are pleased to be their UK agents for foam concentrates as well as large volume firefighting techniques and extinguishing agent technology.

2008 brought a move to new purpose built premises close to the M62 corridor between Manchester and Liverpool. We look forward to the next phase of planned growth, a larger warehouse will enable an increase in stock levels of popular items and more space to pre fabricate the various foam proportioning skids before delivery to site.

The new IT system integrates all functions in the business and provides the common link with a small, dedicated team of fire industry professionals. With the many years of experience of the customer facing team, you can be assured that we'll have the solution to your foam related projects.
